Boanerges: Children of Thunder!
Boanerges: Children of Thunder! is a learner centered online platform designed to empower students with culturally relevant and pedagogically sound content. Boanerges stories history, particularly Black History, across multiple subjects and gives students an opportunity to utilize their voices, creativity, and gifts by participating in the movement to recapture & recast Black History. Boanerges: Children of Thunder! exists as a counter narrative because TRUTH matters!
Mission
Our mission is to empower disenfranchised student populations, particularly African American students, to utilize their history to leverage present and future brilliance; to counter negative narratives & stereotypes; and, to act as socially just, community change agents.
Vision
Our vision is to be America's most learner-centered, educational, informative, & entertaining platform by which ALL students are informed about ALL of America's History!
